All-new SsangYong Rexton launched in Bahrain

Motorcity has announced the arrival of the all-new 7-seater SsangYong Rexton with major advances in style, quality, safety and technology.

With its sheer presence and beautifully balanced exterior, the new Rexton comes in three main trim levels: Low, Mid and High, and offers a prestigious cabin for passengers to travel in supreme comfort, while disguising its tough and rugged exterior.

The new Rexton is powered by G20DTR DI, a 2.0-litre turbocharged direct-injection gasoline engine, delivering maximum power of 225HP and maximum torque of 350Nm, with an Aisin 6-speed automatic transmission. It measures 4,850mm in length, 1,960mm wide, 1,825mm high, and has a 2,865mm wheelbase. It also features a body-on-frame construction to create an extremely robust and durable car, yet features a dignified and beautifully balanced style throughout.
The sense of refinement is demonstrated with the beautifully executed interior. The ambiance is fresh, contemporary and well laid out, with a choice of seating including full high grade Nappa leather trim, with a touch of quilted Nappa leather for the seat inserts and other interior trims on the High model.
The car’s safety features include brake assist, electronic brake force distribution and ABS, traction control, active rollover protection, front airbags and an emergency stop signal.  SsangYong has also added new driver assistance safety features such as lane departure warning and high beam assistance.  
The top of the range Rexton adds front and rear cameras, blind spot detection as well as rear cross traffic alert to provide a clear view of the area surrounding the car to increase safety and driver convenience during low-speed driving and parking.

The Rexton really moves the game forward for SsangYong technologically.  The advanced infotainment system includes DAB radio, excellent connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto for device mirroring, a rear view reversing camera, all displayed on an 8.0” screen.
Other features include a Supervision instrument cluster with a particularly large 7” LCD display for driver information, and a ‘smart’ electronic tailgate for added convenience when loading and unloading the boot, according to model.
