Motorcity holds its Annual Appreciation Event
Motorcity organized their annual employee appreciation event at the ART Rotana Hotel & Resort in Amwaj on Thursday January 28th, 2016. The event was attended by more than 300 employees including the company’s top management.
Mr. Waleed Kanoo Chairman of Motorcity welcomed everybody and said “Tonight, we are gathered here to celebrate and recognize each and everyone’s hard work and dedication during last year. I want to thank you all for all your efforts to put Motorcity on the map of the automotive business in Bahrain. Special gratitude goes to those who have been with us since the beginning and for all the support teams who are helping us achieve our goals and put our valued customers’ interests first.”
Mr. Mike Brightmore, CEO added, ”On behalf of the top management I would like to express our deepest appreciation for the successful year you all have shown in representing the different international brands of Motorcity and wish you more success.”
Dr. Bijan Majidi, Senior General Manager of Motorcity during his speech, highlighted the major infrastructure investments by Motorcity during 2015 which included a new parts warehouse and the revamp of the service centre in Ma’ameer that will continue during 2016. All aimed at improving customer service and satisfaction, he mentioned the successful new brand BAIC and new model launches for Subaru Legacy, Volvo XC90, SsangYong Tivoli, Chery Tiggo 3 and Tiggo 5 during 2015 while expressing his excitement for the upcoming launches in 2016. Dr .Bijan also mentioned the significant growth in both passenger and commercial vehicles and the improvement in the aftersales services offered by Motorcity.
During the evening, management handed over awards and certificates to the top achievers of 2015 for their outstanding performance in passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles and after-sales departments, as well as the support teams from the different divisions within the group. After dinner, employees were treated to a raffle draw, where the grand prize, a ticket for 2 to Dubai was won by lucky staff member, Maneesh Augustine.
Motorcity passenger vehicle showrooms are located in Sitra and Sanad, with the commercial vehicle showroom in Nuwaidrat, central spare parts warehouse and service centre in Ma’ameer.
